Our Story
Inspired by Coach Shula
Coach Don Shula is an American sports legend, best known for leading the only perfect season in NFL history and earning 347 career victories. His success was built on preparation, discipline, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
In 1989, Shula’s Steak House was founded to reflect those same principles. What began as a single restaurant has grown into a family of dining concepts united by a shared belief: greatness is never accidental. It’s earned through consistency, attention to detail, and pride in the work.
That philosophy continues to guide everything we do.
"Strive for perfection, but settle for excellence."

Our Values
This mindset defines the Shula name. We hold ourselves to high expectations, remain focused on the details that matter, and never compromise on quality. At the same time, we understand that leadership means knowing when to adapt and rise to the moment.
For us, excellence isn’t just a goal — it’s a responsibility to our guests, our partners, and our team. Because sharing a meal is one of life’s great pleasures, and every experience should live up to it.
Our Standards
In our kitchens, standards are measured on the plate. We source the finest cuts of beef and quality ingredients, applying disciplined technique and rigorous culinary training at every step. Each dish is tested, refined, and executed with consistency in mind.
Because delivering a great experience starts with getting the details right—every time.
The Shula Fund
As part of Shula’s corporate philanthropy program, the Shula Fund was established over 20 years ago to help advance breast cancer research and care. Founded by Don and Mary Anne Shula, the Shula Fund has raised over $3 million for the Tampa-based Moffitt Center Cancer Center – Florida’s leading cancer center and a nationally recognized leader in groundbreaking treatment and research.
