The Best Gift You Can Give Mom, Time with You….and Great Steak

Forget about flowers, jewelry, or naming a star after mom…what most moms want for Mother’s Day is to have a meal (that they don’t cook), with the people they love most!  According to the National Restaurant Association, almost one third of moms name having a restaurant meal with their family as the gift they want most for Mother’s Day.

And if you think Mom wants to order a salad on Mother’s Day, think again.  Mom (rightfully) wants to splurge on her big day!  Another survey conducted by the National Restaurant Association shows that the top thing mom wants to order is seafood, followed by Ethnic cuisine followed closely by Steak!  Therefore, choosing a great restaurant that offers a variety of premium seafood and steak options is sure to please!

Indulge Her

Most moms look forward to the opportunity to kick back and enjoy time with their family and sometimes relax with an adult beverage.  Nothing says, “I love you Mom”, like a great glass of wine from an award-winning wine list to accompany her meal, or a bubbly mimosa to kick off brunch.  And be sure to treat her to something sweet at the end of the meal like a Chocolate Souffle, crème brulee, cheesecake or molten lava chocolate cake.  And don’t make mom share on her special day!

Celebrate Together

Mother’s Day can be a bigger event for some families, with a multi-generational celebration that includes grandmothers, mothers, in-laws and children.  For these groups, having a nice quiet space in which they can join around good food and converse sometimes is the best option!  For these groups, consider a private dining rooms, or semi-private dining spaces.  Each Shula’s steakhouse location features private dining spaces to accommodate various sized groups.

Show Her Your Appreciation

Let’s be honest, there really should be more than one day a year dedicated to celebrating moms—the person that taught us the difference between right and wrong, how to tie our shoes, how to walk, how to talk….the list goes on.  It’s time to return the favor, with a meal that shows her that she’s valued.  After all, what she wants is to spend time with her kids and to be appreciated!
